Frozen In Time
I've decided that adoptive parents, or at least my son's adoptive parents, always think of birthmothers at the age and stage that we were in when we were pregnant and placed. I mean, why else would you ask a married, home owning, college educated, 35 year-old working woman what her long-term goals are? I still don't get it.

Kim, It did cross my mind a couple of days ago that part of what she was asking was whether my husband and I were going to have children. Since I did tell her in my Christmas letter about my daughter and in her letter she promised to send me a picture "soon" since she didn't include one with her letter/box, I am thinking of waiting through the month of January to see if she responds to my letter and has a different tone.
